Job description

In the Budapest Artificial Intelligence Development Center, Autonomous Mobility, we create next generation automotive software solutions which make automated driving safe and affordable. We work towards Vision Zero, a goal to eliminate fatal accidents happening every day on the world’s roads. We are looking for creative minds who are passionate to shape the future of automated driving by delivering world-class perception and fusion systems.

Our teams develop software solutions for automated parking and safety systems, processing various automotive sensor data and providing a robust, scalable output to driving function modules.

YOUR TASK

As a member of the calibration team, you will be working on a calibration component for our automated parking solution. Collaborating closely by our on-site test vehicle team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, improving and testing calibration algorithms to obtain camera intrinsic and extrinsic parameters
  • Establishing calibration methods at our location supported of other teams’ expertise and requirements
  • Extending calibration methods and tools for various sensor modalities, such as ultrasonic, LIDAR and radar
  • Participating in all levels of the development lifecycle, including requirements management, architecture definition, implementation, and direct customer interaction
  • Becoming the chi master of laser and targets for automated driving
  • Collaborating and work in an agile team environment
Requirements

University degree (BSc, MSc, PhD) in a technical area: Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related.

  • Experience in image processing and sensor calibration
  • Experience in measurement system build-up and sensorics basics
  • Good programming skills in C++ or Python
  • Good command of the English language
  • Collaborative, open-minded, team player attitude

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in system integration in automated driving applications
  • Extensive knowledge of calibration methods, algorithms, in terms of the underlying mathematics and physics
  • Experience in verification and validation activities in the automotive domain
  • Technical leadership experience of complex engineering topics
