Main tasks:
- Responsible to monitor, maintain and support entire portfolio of databases (Oracle Databases on Exadata & OCI)
- Insure all database reliability, stability and data integrity of the databases and to implement new technical solutions as required by the technical and business strategies
- Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput
- Monitor and maintain database storage resources
- Monitor and maintain database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics
- Maintain database documentation as required
- Optimize SQL Code as necessary
- Monitor database backups and restores using Oracle tools
- Trouble shoot and resolve database connectivity issues
- Follow Change Management processes to implement database configuration changes
- Follow Problem Management processes to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues
- Proactively monitor and respond to Oracle database Alerts
