Job description

Our partner is one of the world's largest publicly traded international oil and gas companies.

  • Administer, maintain, create, clone Oracle/ MS SQL Databases on multiple OS flavors
  • Provide full stack support on EXADATA Engineered systems for both SAP and Non-SAP applications
  • Providing Backup and recovery support using RMAN
  • Performing RDBMS upgrades, installing Oracle software and quarterly PSUs
  • Upgrading and patching in Oracle EXADATA, Migrate databases to Exadata
  • Making recommendations to improve performance or capacity of current environments
  • Responsible for Project Implementation, Migration, New feature Deployment processes
  • Designing, configuring, operating, architecting and performing maintenance on networking and computer system
  • Assisting for on-call duties as required
  • Demonstrating an authoritative and professional manner in verbal, written and telephone communications especially during SEV1 / SEV2 incidents
  • Being member of agile team
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s IT degree as a minimum
  • 5+ years Oracle Database Administrator experience on installation, commissioning, troubleshooting
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Excellent Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment
  • Experience with Linux, HP-UNIX, Windows operating systems
  • Good Knowledge of Oracle Performance Tuning, Oracle Real Application Clusters and HA solutions
  • Linux/Unix Shell Scripting, SQL scripting,
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours to support project activities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle for SAP applications
  • Oracle Certification on Oracle Database 12.2 or above
  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud Computing (private or public) or Azure
  • MS SQL server 2016 (or higher versions) support experience
  • MS SQL Always-On
  • MS Azure
  • Openshift
  • Experience working with Oracle advanced features such Data Guard, TDE, in-Memory, OUD, Cloud Control
  • Experience working with Windows scripting and Windows PowerShell
  • Experience working with Oracle ZDLRA
  • Experience working with Agile Software Development Team
