Job description

In Allianz Technology we deliver more than 600 local services to the German OE (former Allianz Germany). Part of the service management is to make sure that all services comply with the regulatory requirements and global process blueprints. In this context we are looking for an IT-service continuity manager (ITSCM) to enhance the local IT-service continuity team. The ITSCM manager plays an important role to ensure the continuity of the IT-service delivery in case of a regional disaster.

The ITSCM-Manager reports functionally to the regional “Customer Resilience Coordinator”.

Job activities

The ITSCM-Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Provide guidance to IT Service Managers in the creation of an IT DR Plan and in IT DR test preparation, execution and report distribution
  • Ensure that IT DR plans are complete, consistent and up to date and for the delivered services in scope
  • Ensure that IT DR Plans meet the required standards and quality level
  • Ensure that IT DR tests for customer specific services are executed and test reports documented
  • Maintenance of the IT DR plans and associated documentation in the respective repository
  • Trigger necessary tests and assist in the execution and documentation
  • Maintenance of the disaster management handbook (“Notfallhandbuch”)
  • Contribution to IT DR capability and process enhancements
  • Participation in global ITSCM communities and best practice sharing
  • Interfacing with global ITSCM functions, related processes and ITSCM representatives on the customer and IT-retained organization)
  • Provide guidance to the IT service managers in the correct modeling of ITSCM relevant aspects in the configuration management database (CMDB) together with the local CMDB-experts
  • Support the IT-Service Manager in the validation of the IT DR plans and CMDB modeling in accordance with the assessed business criticality (business impact analysis)
  • Provide regular reporting on the status of the implemented DR-Plans, tests and CMDB modeling
  • Request management of ITSCM related topics
  • Accomplished studies in (business) informatics or an equivalent IT education
  • Several years of experience in ITSM field of knowledge and / or IT operation
  • Good technical knowledge of interaction between IT applications, network and infrastructural components (knowledge of Allianz IT systems landscape is a benefit)
  • Excellent knowledge of resiliency concepts of web and cloud technologies as well as IT infrastructure
  • Basic knowledge of relevant regulatory environment and standards like: BSI (GER), VAIT (BaFin), ISO Standards, COBIT, etc.
  • Good understanding of ITSCM disaster recovery scenarios, major incident and crisis management
  • High assertiveness and persistence
  • Quick apprehension of complex systems and their interactions
  • Cooperative and constructive team player
  • Willingness to strive personal development and education
  • Contribution in projects and possibility to undertake technical project leadership at CPI
  • Good peer network at Allianz is beneficial, but not required
  • Ability to deal with conflicts and criticism
  • Business fluent English skills in speech and writing, ability to read German documents and follow German discussions
  • Readiness to travel (5-10%)
  • Ideally Certification in ITIL and/or ISO 22301 / ISO 27001
