Job description

As a member of the Information Security & Risk Services (ISRS) team the IT General Controls/IT SOC2 Jr. Analyst will participate in our IT SOC2 program by partnering with the Technology & Data Solutions (TDS) Global Occupier Services (GOS) teams to perform effectiveness testing of key control activities to ensure compliance with control objectives and the effective operation of IT controls over client facing systems. The Jr. Analyst will assist in the continued refinement, timely completion, and ongoing maintenance of all IT SOC2 documentation (process flows, narratives and risk matrices).

The primary focus of this position will be to participate in all aspects of SOC2 and IT General Controls activities including but not limited to; planning, documentation and in the execution of ITGC’s testing to determine the effectiveness of IT controls, identifying gaps and providing recommendations to remediate gaps.

This position works with various internal business units and external auditing partner to ensure the appropriate control environments are implemented and maintained to meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements
  • Two or more years of progressive experience in IT internal audit department.
  • Bachelor's degree in security, information technology, accounting, or finance is required or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience in compliance with controls auditing
  • Understanding of the COSO/COBIT frameworks, SOX, ISO, SOC1, SOC2, internal controls & test plan development.
  • Technical writing experience; detail-oriented skills regarding documentation of findings.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business processes, internal controls, and related controls.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical abilities with a focus on developing practical solutions; strong results orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Must have the ability to contribute in meetings and be well versed on activities and issues within business processes.
  • Self-starter with flexibility, desire, and eagerness to take ownership of related tasks and responsibilities in order to keep the project on schedule.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment including multi-level staff and external partners.
