Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, administer, manage, monitor and tune multi-terabyte BI databases Oracle RAC databases based on Oracle Exadata machines
  • Work closely with our Service Assurance team and other groups in the organization to make sure that all events, incidents and problems are resolved as per SLA defined
  • Design and implement Oracle database security including Oracle Data Vault, Oracle TDE and Oracle Enterprise Users (EUS)
  • Recommend and implement best practices for performance, maintainability and development of Oracle BI/DWH databases including partitioning, indexing, materialized view strategy in consideration of Oracle Exadata features
  • Plan and execute database migrations
  • Design and implement Oracle Data Guard databases
  • Clone databases from backup and active databases
  • Improve efficiency and quality of delivery by automating routine tasks
  • Organize know how transfer to AMOS BI & BD operations team
  • Collaborate with AMOS DMS team – engineering team for Exadata / Oracle Database / ZFS SA / Change Data Capture
Requirements

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Informatics
  • 4+ years Oracle DBA experience managing Oracle RAC databases
  • Understanding of IT architectures including High Availability and Disaster Recovery
  • Experience working with and troubleshooting Oracle 11g R2 and 12c RAC databases on Oracle Exadata machines required
  • Working knowledge of Oracle in a (Oracle) Linux environment
  • Experience working with Oracle Data Guard and Oracle database cloning required
  • Deep knowledge on SQL, PL\SQL, Shell Programming and Perl is a must
  • Experience with database Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Oracle Data Vault required
  • Understanding of Oracle internals
  • Experience in capacity planning
  • Conceptual and abstract thinking skills are compulsory
  • Process oriented, focused on standardization, attention to detail and streamlining
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to manage high complexity, to work independently, accurately and under time pressure
  • Sensitivity to internal and end customer needs
