As a DevOps Lead you are taking part in the next phase of our Agile Transformation, to provide the best services towards our customers and to improve our system landscape. You will fulfill a key role responsible of leading and coordinating the DevOps Engineers. In addition, you will be accountable for operational availability of our systems and improvement of incident, problem and change management processes for our production stages. You will closely align with other developers to guarantee stable environments and provide fault-tolerant and highly reliable solutions. Further, you will ensure and agile working environment and support your team to overcome any obstacles.

Responsibilities/Tasks

• Plan, direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the DevOps Team (Scrum or Kanban)
• Mentor, coach and motivate the DevOps team to perform at the highest level
• Lead cross-functional teams in a hands-on manner, diagnose complex issues on the various platforms, and play a leading role in software/platform/application architecture
• Ensure that the DevOps and Engineering teams involved in the software delivery life cycle are working together on a common objective towards quality and velocity of software delivery
• Play a strategic role in the design and build of state-of-the-art application/infrastructure systems with the high emphasis on security 
• Manage service delivery, systems reliability, and scalability of a multi-tenant platform in a SaaS based environment
• Build, configure, and maintain the frameworks, tools, and systems that enable optimal performance of the business applications
• Accountable for all aspects of code deployment in a CI/CD model and technical operations, which includes resource management, risk management, internal/external communications, and status reporting to the senior management.
• Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities
• Provides technical guidance and expertise on containerization and orchestration strategies using technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provides technical guidance and expertise on database and data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, AWS RDS, Azure SQL
• Responsibility for investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
• Assess urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution accordingly including service quality initiatives to support a product availability
• Writing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and design documentation to accomplish repetitive tasks
• Provides direction and guidance to less experienced systems engineers and own team
